It.Is.Busy. Yes,  I admit it, sometimes it's overwhelming and I feel guilty for not spending enough time with my kids. They are growing up so fast and I feel like I am missing out on all the fun stuff.

That being said, I love my job and I would not be the same without it. It keeps my happy receptors lit! So, to find a middle ground, I came up with a plan- to take some time off work whenever the kids have their school breaks like summer, spring and winter break. That way I don't feel like I missed out on everything.

We had an amazing summer this year, I took much-needed vacation time and had an amazing time with my kids in our new home (yes! We bought a new waterfront home) we spent all the time outside, on trails, by the river, in water parks and pools. I missed many days of yoga but got plenty of exercise while exploring the trails with my kids. The summer's almost ending and  I am already looking forward to our winter break together. The other day, we were discussing where we would put our Christmas tree and how we will decorate our new home. Kids are really excited for the new school year! My daughter starts kindergarten this fall and she is beyond excited, we will take a short trip to Winnipeg to go shop for the new school year, it would be our first trip outside of Thompson since Covid started and we are looking forward to it.

How do you find work-life balance? Shoot me some ideas!

Till next time,

The Traveling Dentist
